This exciting project began in the Fall of 2006, and is being done in partnership with the Society for the Preservation of Historic Oakwood. Prado Construction will restore the existing structure, plus add a second story to create a 2600 square foot bungalow-style home. Prado Construction is working closely with a local expert on restoration to have the house designated a historic property and to ensure the renovation meets the requirements so that the new owners will be eligible to apply for North Carolina state tax credits, which could represent tens of thousands of dollars in tax credits.
The residence will have approximately 2600 square feet of living space, with an additional 400 square feet of finished space on the third level, reached by a spiral staircase.
