Philip Prado founded Prado Construction, Inc. after a successful career as an engineer, during which time he earned numerous creative awards and where his work was patented. Prado Construction, Inc. is incorporated in North Carolina, where Phil is a licensed general contractor specializing in residential design and build projects.
Drawn to the creative aspects of home building, as well as the beauty and charm of historic properties and neighborhoods, Phil’s focus has been on the design and construction of homes with Victorian era elements: combining the style of that era with the amenities desired in a new home. Prado Construction’s capabilities extend beyond new home construction, to home additions and renovation work for clients throughout the Triangle.
As a resident of Raleigh, Phil has a particular interest in the revitalization of the city, and has focused many of his new home projects in downtown Raleigh neighborhoods. Prado Construction was a sponsor for the May, 2006 “Art of Living in Downtown Raleigh” showcase, organized by the Raleigh Urban Design Center. Proudly, a Prado Construction home was featured in the “Raleigh News and Observer” newspaper article announcing the public event.
Prado Construction is a member of the Wake/Raleigh Home Builders Association, the National Home Builders Association, and the Better Business Bureau. Phil is also involved with non-profit organizations, such as the Downtown Raleigh Alliance and the Society for the Preservation of Historic Oakwood -- where Phil donates time and money to better his own community as a member of the Good Neighbor’s Committee.
Every renovation and new home project completed by Prado Construction, Inc. begins with the design phase. You meet with the builder to discuss your concept, building goals, and budget. Based on that information, Prado Construction will develop preliminary plans/drawings, an estimated timeline, and cost overview. We move forward with the detailed design process once an agreement has been reached and contract signed with Prado Construction.
